In response to our nation's plea to change the standard of living for our most vulnerable populations, Alpha Group Administrators was formed in 1990. We agreed to begin operations in Arizona as the state began the process of helping some of our most vulnerable members of society begin to attain their least restrictive environment possible. As state institutions were being shut down and downsized, the advent of "group homes" was taking over. Since that time, Arizona has become a model of community based living options for people with cognitive impairments and Alpha Group is proud to have been here since the beginning. Within two years, we had opened 6 homes for members to live in a nurturing and caring community-based environment, in their own homes.
In 2000, 13 additional Group Homes and a Day Treatment Facility and Art Therapy programs came about. During the next 5 years, AGA became known for our expertise in serving clients with dual diagnoses and behaviorally intense diagnoses.
Twenty one years later, Alpha Group has a DTA center, 25 residential group homes and Developmental Homes. All together, we serve over 90 clients in 7 cities. Alpha Group maintains a minimum of a 95% compliance rate for programming and State regulations since the inception of our own unique internal monitoring system, the CSI. More than the figures, AGA employees are proud of the progress that our consumers make daily in their lives, and are a dedicated and integral part of the process.
With all of our accomplishments, our focus on future goals is to increase awareness to the community about our clients’ contribution to society and how they strengthen our culture. In-house, we aim for integrity to be a catalyst for change to those we encounter and to be the leader in quality. We endeavor to be innovative in our design and implementation of Behavior Building Plans and ISP's and in the overall quality of our services. We believe that the means to accomplish this goal is through the effective growth of a strong, empowered and fulfilled team of employees. Alpha Group Administrators strives to provide the most excellent, innovative and creative programming possible. We want to give our consumers the best opportunity to increase their learning and enjoy the best quality of life. |
